August Astrophotos pt. I

Last night after doing some telescope observations I wanted to get a good round of photos to explore some different settings.  I was using a lower speed ISO, which I’m not used to and had some issues figuring the exposure times.  An additional “experimental” factor was presented by reading through my A-1 manual.  It mentions specific f-stop settings for the lens and that setting it to “A” basically makes it an automatic feature, which I had not known about.  There are few shots that used it but to be honest, I couldn’t tell the difference between that and setting the f-stop to the widest setting.  Overall every shot was a little over-exposed, which might have been my compensation for the lower speed ISO.  And I’m sick of getting streaking stars!  I need a faster shot so they keep still…I did like to see that I caught some shooting stars though.  There were at least three in last nights round of photos.  Stay tuned for more!
